Phaestos – Gortys – Matala

The south side of Crete has always been the least touristic, least noisy part of the island. Having said that, spots like Matala, Kokkinos Pyrgos (literaly meaning Red Tower) along with its ancient Greek-Roman town of Gortys and the Minoan settlement of Phaestos and its palace will transport you to different time periods, ranging from 2500 BC up till the 1960’s. Duration: Full-day: 6-7 hours
