Santa Marina Beach Hotel is ideally located on the long and sandy beach of the most cosmopolitan resort in west Crete, Aghia Marina village. The hotel is built along the sea shore, just 8 kilometers from Chania centre and its must-see old Venetian harbor, while the international airport of Chania lies just 22 km away. The coastal village of Aghia Marina is one of several that line the coastline west of Chania centre and enjoys great views to the islet of St. Thodorou which today is a dedicated breeding ground for the Cretan mountain goat Kri-Kri (protected species). The rooms have been refurbished in 2018 summer season by updating the highend class furniture and walls to an assortment of modern bright and natural colors. The beach lies a step away from the hotel’s terrace and it has been awarded a blue flag. It is organized with sun beds and umbrellas and has a lifeguard on duty. It is ideal for families with young children as they can play with the sand, build sand castles and enjoy the sun as well as swim and play safely in the shallow sea. The large main swimming pool (425 sqm) with lifeguard on duty, is located at the pool complex and is available for all guest use. The maximum depth is 2.80 meters allowing for proper swimming. Sun beds and umbrellas are dotted all around the swimming pool area. Take in the sun surrounded by well kept gardens with palm trees and ever-green grass. There is an additional swimming pool at the Pearl Wing called the ‘Relaxation Pool’ (see description under ‘Pearl Wing’ below).

At Santa Marina Beach Resort there are four (4) restaurants to choose from.
The Main Restaurant at the beach complex which operates for breakfast, lunch and dinner – all buffet – an endless choice of foods, delicacies, traditional Cretan/Greek dishes as well as international choices. The buffet restaurant is offering live "showcooking" on a daily basis, and during all seatings. The buffet itself is set up indoors, while seating is available both indoors and on the outdoors terrace beside the sea.
Thodorou restaurant at pearl wing also operates on a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner (see description below under ‘ Pearl Wing’ description).
The lunch A la Carte Sea Line Tavern, is situated on beautiful setting by the coast line under the Tamarisk trees with endless views to the Sea. The menu offer a top choice of traditional cuisine as well as some snack based dishes.
The dinner A La carte Azzuro Restaurant is exclusive and pre-booking is necessary as there is limited seating. This is a more private setting at the edge of the outdoor terrace beside the sea with views to the Thodorou island. Natural shade is also provided by the lush ever-green Tamarisk trees. The well priced Azzuro restaurant offers many Mediterranean menu based dishes.

The Lobby Bar offers the best in atmosphere and drinks and serves as the hotel’s meeting and reference point, while the Pool Bar spoils the ones choosing to spend the day by the pool. Same time the Beach Bar’s location is hard to find elsewhere: right on the beach front drinks are accompanied with the sounds of the sea and the breathtaking views of the gulf of Chania.

Leisure activities include a fitness room which has been renovated since 2016 and a choice of wellness treatments directly on the beach front by our animation team. Walking paths, boat trips and excursions to many interesting sights is readily available.
