Private Christian Tour with Street Food Tasting

This Private Christian Tour is a new concept for guests who wish to experience the local religious traditions and local street food in Crete.

Our tour starts with the visit of the Metropolis of St Minas Church (the holy saint of Heraklion) with its majestic fresco paintings and priceless icons. Next to St Minas church is the  St. Catherine’s Church Museum of Christian Art which has a big collection from the 14th to the 19th century of icons, murals, stone and wood sculptures, post Byzantine metal works, miniature art, coins, vestments, manuscripts and books. After this we go to the Lion square to taste some local street food like Bougatsa (Cream pie with a cup of coffee) and a Pita Gyros ( pita bread filled with chopped meat and potatoes). Our last visit is the church of St. Titos, with very unique architecture, where also the scull of the Saint is kept in a special place.
